OMC AGM 2021

NOT MUCH FUN BUT HAD TO BE DONE!

Published:10/09/2021

On Monday 6thSeptember we held an AGM of sorts which had been due back in February but wasn’t able to go ahead due to restrictions and lockdowns. Unlike any previous recent AGM’s this wasn’t much fun.

In recent years the AGM has been an evening of formalities of accounts and committee voting but added on top has been awards and presentations for member of the year, fantasy race team winners, the famed pillock of the year award with slide show and bouquets of flowers to the Chair’s leading ladies. Unfortunately that hasn’t been able to happen this year and it was just a reading of OMC accounts for 2020 together with the usual thanks to various instrumental people by the Chair.

Nobody wished to stand for the current Officers positions so for another year Roger Bays remains Chair with Bernice Russell as Secretary and Derek Brown continues his roles as Treasurer and Vice Chair.

There was one change on the committee with Keith Russell stepping down after two lengthy stints and he has been replaced by Stavros “Stav” Theodoridis. Keith has also stepped down from the H&S Officer role for OMC however Steph Muffett, who is a HSE & Facilities Director, has kindly volunteered to take over.

So the committee will consist of Colin Measures, Paul Butler, John Hannaford, Jemma Hannaford, Stav Theodoridis, Chris Johnston, Gill McBride, Richard Forster, Dougie Palmer and Lizzie Wiggins

We welcome Stav and Steph in their new roles
