What We're About

OMC_011_Sm.jpg

Oakley Motorcycle Club has been running since 2005, based in the small north Bedfordshire village of Oakley (England, UK) and we welcome members from all over.

Our current membership stands at over 350 members from not just Bedford, but also Luton, Buckinghamshire (Milton Keynes, Bletchley, Aylesbury, and Buckingham), Northamptonshire (Northampton, Wellingborough, Rushden), Cambridgeshire (St. Neots, Huntingdon and even Cambridge), St. Albans (Hertfordshire) and some from even further afield!

Please use our Contact page to find us or to get in touch!

The club consists of members from 16 to 86 years of age, with a wide cross-section of biking interests from those with a collection of vintage motorcycles to those who only use theirs to race.

Come along and see what it's all about. We meet at Oakley Sports and Social Club (OSSC) and meetings are held every Thursday come rain or shine throughout the year.

The club opens from 7pm, you don't have to come on a bike, get a lift and have a few beers, many of us do!

For more detail about Oakley Motorcycle Club membership, and if you want to join (or renew) right now, go to our Membership page.

OMC Goes International

Afghan118_Sm.jpgThis British Army Quad bike was spotted sporting our OMC logo in Afghanistan. Word has it that they were on a breakfast run to Binnie Laden's Truckstop Cafe in Helmand Province.

Got a better picture which includes an OMC logo?  Email it to us at info@oakleymc.net and we may add it to our magazine and / or website!

OMC Racing Members

omc_racing_1.jpgOne of the OMC founder members, Grant "Wag" Wagstaff had a successful racing year in 2011 with finishing runner up in the Michelin Power Cup National Championships and second in the Senior Manx GP. Wag had the fastest lap of the GP racing and practice with a stunning 117.5 mph in damp conditions on his Ducks Cross Racing Yamaha R6.

In 2012, having been accepted to race in the Isle of Man TT in hopefully both the Junior and Senior classes, together with entryinto the Hottrax British Endurance Championship, Wag will be running both Ducks Cross Racing's Yamaha R6 and their Kawasaki ZX10.

Follow Wag with OMC updates or check out his progress as well at Ducks Cross Racing on Facebook

Credit-Crunch Beer

OSSC_Ext_Sm.jpgAs Oakley Sports & Social Club hosts Oakley Motorcycle Club, OMC members can purchase beer at club rather than pub prices (always a bonus given the current financial climate!).

We often host disco's and events here and many decide to camp on site where changing, toilet and shower facilities are made available.

Merchandise

omc_models.jpgWe offer a large range of Oakley Motorcycle Club branded merchandise.  Everything from T-Shirts, fleeces, baseball caps and even umbrellas - the list is endless.

Our merchandise is available to buy from this website!  Just go to our Merchandise page where not only can you browse and buy your products, you can also personalise them too by having your name printed on them!

Make a Meal of it

kitchen.jpgHot food, tea and coffee is provided every Thursday evening all at a very reasonable price courtesy of Barb and her team. Why not save on cooking Thursday dinner and eat at Oakley Club?

Charity Support

eaaa_01.pngOMC members have done their best to support local and national charities raising substantial amounts of money for Keech Cottage Children’s Hospice at Luton and Cancer Research UK to name but two.

Our Easter Egg run this year will be to the usual local Children’s wards, Care Homes and Sheltered Housing spreading some chocolate Easter cheer to the young and old alike. All the money Untitled-1.jpgraised this year will be donated to our 2011 nominated charity, the East Anglian Air Ambulance

If you would like further details please visit our supported charities page.
