Well it’s great to be back at long last and on 22nd July OMC was able to meet for the first time on a Thursday evening since 19th March 2020 and what a night it turned out to be! Fine warm weather and a decent amount of daylight resulted in 420 motorbikes attending during the course of the evening. This is the 2nd highest number ever recorded and has only been beaten by the 530 motorbikes that attended the American theme night back on 4thJuly 2019.
Since then, thankfully the Thursday evening weather has held up pretty well with nearly all the following Thursday’s seeing over 200 bikes attending with the exception of one particularly wet evening which resulted in just 15 bikes arriving.
So, some great nights have been had and with the departure of the stewards that began at Oakley Club in January, we welcome back Mick and Barbara Hewitt at the wheel of both the club and the kitchen for a short period until new stewards are appointed.
