An evening with Steve Parrish

On the evening of Friday 23rd February, Oakley Motorcycle Club hosted “An evening with Steve Parrish”. Steve is the winner of numerous motorcycle race titles and Championships, seven times British and European truck racing Champion, TV commentator, pundit and accomplished after dinner speaker plus previous 500cc World Championship Suzuki Heron team mate of Barry Sheene.

The event was held at the Bedford Golf Club, Great Denham, Beds where 94 OMC members and friends attended to listen to the race and life tales of the legendary Steve Parrish assisted by his Wife Michelle and what a great night it turned out to be!

The evening, which involved a slide show together with some video clips, was very informative and also very very funny and at times quite sad particularly the stories involving great racers like Barry Sheene who are no longer with us.

A massive thanks to Steve and Michelle for a great evening and for the donation of a signed Suzuki race team jacket for the next OMC auction. If you haven’t seen one of Steve’s shows, you don’t know what you are missing!
